Learning and remembering a single word for a long time is undoubtedly tedious. But on the other hand, if you had ever used that word in a sentence while conversating with someone, you would have surely remembered that word for a longer time.
Learning English with sentences will undoubtedly take the pressure off too. When you find out a new word, try to remember a couple of sentences that contain that word.
It is a significant relief not to worry about whether the sentence you utter is grammatically appropriate. Because mostly in conversation, when you speak off an English sentence, it’s not compulsory to look for the grammatical correctness of the sentence.
What matters the most is how you convey your message and make the listener understand.
There may come a time when you can use one specific sentence with little or no change.
The alphabet makes words, and words make sentences.
Unfortunately, many people willing to learn English only remember the words they know by heart at the early stages. When they need to utilize them in a sentence, they need to remember how to incorporate them into the conversation.
Suppose an individual had only learned the above word and its meaning while skipping to understand its use in a sentence. There are chances he may forget the word and its meaning after some time, or he may misuse it in sentences.
On the other hand, if you learn a word along with its meaning and usage in a sentence, then you will be able to use one word in multiple contexts.
Let’s understand it through an example:
Example 1.
To appreciate = to recognize the value of something/somebody.
Claude only learned the above word and its meaning without understanding its use in a sentence. Eventually, he forgot it after some time.
Now in Sentence: Example 2.
It’s required to feel valued in a relationship or at work. I appreciate all your hard work.
While Harry learned the same word and also understood its use in sentences, subsequently, he remembered and kept using this word in different situations.
Isn’t it much more valuable to remember ‘appreciate’ this way?
If you learn individual English words in isolation, the same happens to us as with Claude. And most of us knowingly make this mistake.
When we need to speak, we usually have to think a lot to integrate the individual words in the ideal order, utilizing the appropriate grammar in a way that makes good sense.
Instead, focus on learning expressions or phrases after that. You will undoubtedly have all set answers and feedback for any situation– and there will be no requirement to overthink.
Focusing on phrases will undoubtedly aid you in speaking English in complete sentences with extra naturality.

Question: Why it’s important to focus on sentences in order to learn English?
Answer: Because sentences are more than just a simple string of words, they’re usually thoughts, ideas, and stories.
Much like letters develop words, words develop sentences. Sentences set language to give it a personality.
Once again, without the sentences, there’s no communication. Right now, If you were reading out just the words, you would not be able to understand what I’m trying to convey to you in any way.
To learn English, it’s crucial to understand how to incorporate words in sentence structure.
Simple or Easy words are not nearly enough.
In ancient times people used to make stories out of fundamental illustrations, and those illustrations only could convey much more.
Take an example and try to understand this way; what can you know just by reading the words “Birds” and “Sky”?
Now what you understood from the sentence: The birds fly in the sky.
Can you understand the difference?
So, sentences combine words to give them direction and meaning. They usually add a specific purpose to the group of words. Hence, sentences are necessary to express feelings or ideas.
Next time when you learn a word, remember to learn its use in sentences as well.
